This is the best meal we have had in awhile. We were in town for a car show and went here on recommendation of a person staying in our campground. Everything that they brought to the table was excellent. The bread, fried mushrooms, salad, ribeye, prime rib and pork chops. And I highly recommend Christina for your server. She was the BEST!

I'm not a big fan of chains, but this place is consistently good. I love the caesar salad with salmon, and those croissants that come with it--YUM. Service is always excellent.

Have always liked Rafferty's. They never allow you to run out of whatever you are drinking and the staff is always knowledgeable and courteous. Food is well prepared as well.

This is a solid dinner option which was recommended by our hotel. We went on a Wednesday night at 7:00pm and it was plenty busy, but we didn't have to wait. I liked the atmosphere but had to go out to the car to pick up a jacket for my wife and an extra shirt for me. It was uncomfortably cold. We are generally early eaters. However, it was getting late, and despite the great wood fire smell outside, I settled for a salad instead of a steak or pork chops. I really wanted some pork chops, but when you're on vacation, and there's no place to store leftovers, it's hard for me to just throw out good food. Anyway, I would definitely get the spinach salad again. It had some delicious crumbled bacon on top and a warm bacon dressing. Let's face it; pretty much anything with bacon on it is good. My wife ordered a plain chicken breast and a baked potato - perfect for her. The kid got some chicken somthin' somthin' that he liked. They'd both rate the place 3.5 stars. I'm giving it 4 stars because I thought it was better than average and not a major chain like every other restaurant around here.

The Bowling Green location is the Original Rafferty's that started it all. You can Always count on getting Good Food & Great Service and we did! We sat at a high top in the bar area. Our Bartender was Great! She was very Friendly and took Excellent care of us. It didn't just stop with our bartender. The manager and other staff members also assisted in ensuring we had a great dining experience as well. The food came out quickly and cooked perfectly! I got the Prime Rib and Started with a House Salad with their House Dressing which is to Die for and one of the Reasons I will Always keep coming back! So if you haven't been to a Rafferty's yet, go Now! Oh, and get a salad with the House Dressing...you will Thank Me for it! You're Welcome!

Not a good experience for me and my wife..I am giving 2 stars only for the service. The worst food I have ever experienced. For starters we both had broccoli and cheddar cheese soup. It was disgusting, to much cheese which made the soup salty and very heavy. For entree I had a BBQ chicken and as a side I ordered grilled asparagus. Chicken breast was dry and the asparagus were blend no seasoning at all. My wife ordered a salmon fish with side of coleslaw. i tried a small bite from her salmon fish and the fish was very dry too..my daughter's kids meal was a fish finger with fries. The fries were soggy. My daughter didn't even touch her food.

This has been my/our favorite since it opened, as the 1st RAFFERTY'S. I was in another city, at their Rafferty's, when the mgr ask me if I enjoyed my meal. I commented that "I didn't understand why this place ALWAYS has great food, while other places are erratically OK--Good." The manager asked if I had a couple of minutes, that he "could explain why their food is always the best." I listened as he explained that they get & prepare their food fresh daily. They don't get the "chain's frozen or pre prepared & packed, to be thawed or warmed up," as others do. In other words, the meats, veggies, & fruits, are cut for your meal. In the many decades, I've enjoyed their FRESH prepared foods. If I want thawed, out of the cans, or packs, or pre mixed in the factory, we go to the others.

A very good restaurant, one of the best in Bowling Green. It should not be listed as a bar. I rate it high as a restaurant but average as a bar.

Whenever I am in the area, this is one place I cannot miss. Krystal's is the other place, but please do not hold that against me. The salads and dressings are amazing here. The food is well prepared and plentiful. The atmosphere and staff are friendly and attentive. I have never had a bad experience here whether it be a small party or a large group.

Like the ability to get in quickly, compared to other places. Service professional and food is good. Like the chicken finger salad, prime rib (and sandwich), and rib eye. Can be seated immediately in the bar area. Good value for the money.

Lunch today was awesome. We had the fried mushrooms for our appetizer. I had the Prime Rib open face sandwich with grilled asparagus. Service was great! This is one of my favorite places in Bowling Green.

Dinner was really good. I have not had many great meals in BG. However Rafferty's was a pleasant surprise after being disappointed at Double Dogs and Montana Grill. The Filet was excellent, perfectly cooked super tender and as flavorful as a Filet gets. The Kona chicken was great, again it was cooked just right, juicy not dry topped with ham cheese and pineapple. Loaded baked potatoes were as expected. Service was great. Prices were reasonable. I would definitely go back.

To start with I had the fried mushrooms...your thinking just regular fried mushrooms that everyone serves. No sir, these were great and the honey mustard horseradish dipping sauce is the best ever. The main dish for me was tossed chicken tenders with fries. Again, your thinking yea everyone does that...and yes everyone does. These tenders were...well tender, tasted like they shopped for the yardbird at Kroger this morning and not frozen for a week or three. The buffalo sauce was just right and didn't over power. Topped off with bacon covered fries made the meal. The service was great, think his name is Mike or Micah??? Very good experience for my first time to visit. If I am ever in Bowling Green again I will definitely come back here.

This place was fine, but nothing special. My filet was excellent, though more on the rare side than the medium rare I'd requested, but my side of broccoli was woefully undercooked. Not wanting to explain to the waiter that it needed a good 15 more minutes in the steamer, I crunched through it, but I'd get something else next time. The Kentucky silk pie was good, though it had a bit too much chocolate sauce on it for my taste, and at something like $5.50 it seemed a little overpriced. Oh, and the plastic cups they were using on the patio kind of clashed with the cloth napkins -- seemed a bit odd, if you ask me. I'd go back, but not anytime soon.

Mediocre steak and ok service. They were friendly enough but took more time chatting with friends and coworkers than serving customers. The bartender did clue me in to a steak and beer combo for 14.99 that was a decent deal. The steamed broccoli was, appropriately, steamed.

Got a tip from a local that this is a good place for steaks. Spot on! I ordered the prime rib with baked potato. Added Ceasar salad. Food arrived promptly. Service was excellent. Prices decent. Asked about military discount and was told none available. Would probably visit again. Correct address (from their website) 1939 Scottsville Road

I was in Bowling Green for business when my vendor took me out for lunch and we ended up at Rafferty's Restaurant and Bar. The place is pretty big and when got here very popular. It has a nice home feel to it. We were lucky and didn't have to wait and found a spot right away. Menu here is more or less your basic bar foods with lot of sandwiches and meats to choose from. Prices here are reasonable, you're looking between $8 - $12 for most items. My vendor ordered a prime rib sandwich and I got the BBQ Chicken Sandwich and Salad. The waitress I could tell was very busy but friendly. I got my salad and though I was impressed with it's size (probably the size of most dinner salad's) she made a mistake, it came with dressing when I asked for it on the side. I didn't want to make a stink over it, so I ate it. Besides having too much dressing for my tastes, the salad was quite good. After the salad the sandwiches came out. Holy mounds of meat. I must have had a half of chicken on my sandwich. The thing was STACKED. Taste wise, very good. Nice juicy and tender. The BBQ sauce was definitely good. There was no way I could eat the whole thing, I ended up taking half with me for the plane trip home later that evening. My vendor's sandwich, he got what must have been a inch thick slice of prime rib, these guys don't mess around. From the sounds my vendor was making, he enjoyed his meal a lot. Overall, probably a 4 star place. Food was good but the waitress was just a bit rude and having salad dressing on my salad when I asked for it on the side gets them knocked down 1 star. So 3 star rating and I would go back, I would just starve my self all day because the give you that much food.

I've been here several times now, mostly for late night drinks and appetizers and for lunch. All around this is a good predictable place to go have some American food fare. You'll get a very similar menu to Applebees's or other American chain places, but the food is better and more care is put into the preparation. The salads here are amazing. Very large in size with all of the necessary items on them. The half-portion house salad alone is the size of a regular salad and comes with a croissant covered in icing (I'm really not a big fan of these even though I know other people love them) eggs, bacon, cheese, and tomatoes. The house vinaigrette is good, but it is a creamy version of a vinaigrette. The house honey mustard is really tasty, but it comes with a side of what they call "hot bacon." This is scary...really... and a little too much. I have no idea why you need bacon bits AND bacon grease on your salad (no really, a small cup of bacon AND the grease!). I'd be alright with just bacon bits, but the grease too??? NASTY! The potato soup is one of my favorites (you get even more bacon on top of the soup), and the bar food staples like cheese sticks, fried mushrooms, and chicken fingers are all very well done if you're in the mood for this kind of food. The only thing so far I would suggest staying away from is the lunch chicken ranch wrap. It says it's a "flavor explosion" on the menu, but in reality it's just bland grilled chicken and ranch dressing with a lot of lettuce. Not worth your time or money. I'm really surprised they did not put bacon in it since they seem to love bacon. So for the money, Raff's is a good alternative to most national chain American food places. This small chain is locally owned and does greasy American food well in a nice atmosphere. The restaurant is well laid out. Even though they can fit a good number of tables in here it is set up so that you feel like you are in a smaller intimate area no matter where you are seated.

Kayleigh P. Was our waitress and she was EXCELLENT!!! Her recommendations were spot on! My husband had the ribs and he LOVED them! She also recommend the Ginger Sour and he thought it was amazing! I had the club sandwich and FF with cheese and raspberry sweet T and I loved everything. If you are looking for a great place to eat with a lot of variety.....this is the place to be and Kayleigh P. Is the person to see!! We are from Indiana and will definitely come back here the next time we go to Nashville!

Stopped here this evening for dinner once arriving in BG. The place is a more upscale bar-staurant with a variety of meals, drinks and seating areas. Buds ordered a couple of tall boy beers and food. ATMOSPHERE: The place is clean, staff is friendly, and the seating is vast- from a bar scene to family seats. It definitely offers an upscale feel but still holding true to a steakhouse with a down home atmosphere. GRADE 5/5 FOOD: I ordered a sirloin with bleu butter, a sweet potato, and a salad. The salad was a little runny, steak was a little on the dry side, but it was a great meal overall. I also enjoy the addition of a small croissant to the salad. Haven't seen that before but appreciate it. GRADE 4/5 SERVICE: Our waiter was Tyrone- great guy and very accommodating, easy to talk to ", friendly, and quick to help. Appetizer came out fast, salads came out right after, and food shortly after. He also got us going when we order a couple "LIT"s or Long Islands- lord have mercy. GRADE 5/5 CONCLUSION: This place is great for anyone - families, couples, buds, or just a place to get a beverage. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!

Every time I eat here, I look at the menu like I'm gonna try something different but I always end up getting the Sunshine Chicken Salad. It's worth a 4 star rating even though I've never tried anything else on the menu. So you'll have to try the rest at your own risk! I don't about know anything but the yummy Sunshine Chicken salad. It all looks good though....

not great. it was a warmish, though not horrifying, august evening, and we were seated outside. that is the most positive thing i can say about our dining experience, sadly. i ordered Coke, which came from a can. flat. the flies were legion. they really liked the sweet roll/bread things. our waiter had more time for the Polo Shirt People seated behind us, than for our table of 3 adults and 3 kids. annoying. the whole thing was a pain in the ass, and i won't be racing back anytime soon.
